Ice Climbing Areas in the South Wasatch stretch from Provo Canyon to the plateau surrounding Price, Utah. The ice climbing season in the South Wasatch is short, late November through February, but the access, variety and quality of ice climbing is world-class. The best guidebook for ice climbing along the Wasatch Front, and the state of Utah as a whole, is “Ice Climbing Utah” by David Black.
